Volunteer Opportuniites

Do you love driving an EV? Do you want to share that love with others who may be looking to join the movement to electrify the passenger vehicle fleet? We have been asked to have Rivians at these events to support the transition to a sustainable future. Please reach out to Ariane at Ariane.Erickson@acterra.org and let her know that you can help, and tell her you are a member of the Bay Area Rivian Club.

Below is the email from Ariane:

Greetings EV Ambassadors,

I hope that the start of 2023 is bringing you health, prosperity, and many exciting EVentures. We have a very busy Spring schedule with lots of opportunities for educating future EV owners. Here are the first two events on the docket:

Sunnyvale EV expo

Roya Samani from the City of Sunnyvale is looking for EV owners who are willing to display their vehicles and talk to prospective owners at their Mar 11 EV ride & drive. Dealers will provide the test drives, all you have to do is bring your EV for viewing and answer questions from prospective owners. Volunteers will be provided with lunch. Sign up here. For questions, email Roya at green@sunnyvale.ca.gov.

Promise to the Planet (online event)

Acterra's annual celebration and benefit is not an EV-specific event, although it will include a presentation by electrification expert Tom Kabat. Come hear his wisdom, along with other equally impressive speakers, including: “turning buildings into Teslas” innovator Donnel Baird (BlocPower), global solutions expert Dr. Jonathan Foley (Project Drawdown), and State Senator Josh Becker. A highlight of the evening: Acterra will recognize local community heroes who were nominated by their peers as the 2023 "Champions of Promise." Last but not least, we will have a Fund-a-Future segment to help raise money to keep Acterra's climate action programs growing far into the future.Tickets range from $0 to $75 (VIP), or donate what you will. I will be attending the event, and hope you will join me in celebrating and supporting Acterra!

More 2023 EVents and volunteer opportunities are coming soon!...

Kind regards,
